I had to hold for like 30 minutes to get this info, but this new representative told me that sometimes they might have problem getting elite benefits pulled up while checking in online. The representative got an answer from the team that one must show their FFP card with elite status to the airport member, and they will be able to add an extra bag free of charge. Hopefully this can help others having the same problem!
Two year ago I gained AF Gold status, so STE+. Last year I was able to gain DL PM. I decided to credit all of my 2018 flights to DL, but I still wanted to use my STE+ status on my trips. The only way to do this was to present my FB Gold card to agents while keeping my DL FFN on my reservation. This caused a few small issues, but nothing that couldn't be overcome. Unfortunately, that required interaction at the airport to gain the extra bag, SkyPriority security, etc. As far as I can tell, you can't have two FFN's on a DL reservation. So if you're a KE STE+ but you're crediting to DL, or vv, then it's all manual at the airport to get the benefits.
