I don't know. I would have thought the management would ask to see room cards (or room keys, and used a reader on them). I don't see what purpose "picture I.D. cards" would serve in that situation, except to try to intimidate people.
I mean in DLSIZE's case would you have handled this matter any differently at check-in?

Given that we've been told it's Starwood's policy to see a photo ID, I wonder how many times we've all shown photo IDs without giving it a second thought.
