If you have a Household Account in North America, the online statement only shows one participant's "slice" of the account at a time; you can't get a "consolidated" view of all the miles earned by your household. On the automated telephone system the exact reverse is true; you get the total for your household, but you can't have it broken out by individual flyer. Most annoying.
This weekend my wife and I received our first paper mailing from BA in eight months: an envelope containing a new-look "Members News and Offers" pamphlet dated Spring 2001. (Summer is imminent.) No STATEMENT included!
The pamphlet is fronted by a letter from William Harford, VP/Business Travel Marketing, extolling the "newly re-born" EC North America and all the great services it offers... plus new mileage award packages for Orlando amusement parks, etc...
... but BA have no apparent plans for telling me how many miles we've got in the first place. No statement since Sep 2000.
(FYI the envelope this thing came in wasn't sized to the pamphlet, and the address label was crudely stamped on by hand, as if they hadn't planned to mail it this way. Perhaps they held the pamphlet as long as they could waiting for the statement machinery to get straight, then finally chose to send it on alone.)
