As I mentioned in the other visa thread, if you're staying in a private residence, don't count on getting registered unless you're prepared to go to the PSB on your own, that is assuming you can get a copy of the lease. This drill can take up to three hours depending on where the PSB is. Dropping $50 on a hotel for the first night probably makes more sense for most people.
