Most hotels often provide you with the option to pay in local currency or the currency of the card issuer at check-out. I have always settled in the local currency, and generally have always came out ahead.
Thanks for the feedback. Maybe I wasn’t clear in my earlier post. I booked the prepaid room rate online and under the special request, I have indicated for the payment to be charged in TWD since this will be done offline given that I suspect that DCC may come into play without my acceptance.
