REGENT TAIPEI DCC TAIPEI CITY TW TWD XXXXX
There is a mention of "DCC" in the description, is this a case that DCC has been applied on my prepayment? I have indicated under the "Special Request" of the booking field that payment is to be made in Taiwan Dollars. If so, do you have any experiences in getting the hotel to reverse the changes and to re-charge in the local currency?
Thanks for sharing your experience.
If the payment shows as number of TWD you agreed to pay, it looks as though the amount ill be converted to your home currency by you credit card company - which, I guess is what you want.
But you'll get a definitive answer only by taking to your cc company. If there have been DCC shenanigans you did not agree to (and it appears that you can prove you manifestly did not do so) then the bank will correct the transaction.
