Suggestions for Accommodation for a Month

Have a friend headed to Singapore for a month. He's looking for some accommodation options. Staying even at a cheap hotel for a month would turn out to be pretty expensive. Been reading about some 'co-living spaces',that seem to start from about 1,000 SGD a month. This would be just for 1 person.

Any suggestions ?
