Now also featured in Warsaw and Budapest - it seems Accor is rolling this out at directly-operated / owned properties first. The process seems cumbersome for both the staff and clients (when was the last time you had to write down the full number of your LCAH card?), but in the end, it works - I got my points both at the Mercure and the Sofitel (in Warsaw - Sofitel's restaurant highly recommended!)
It amazes me that Accor is actually a company focused on complex operations with numerous human factors and operations, and they did this roll-out in such a clumsy fashion - the website is unclear as to which properties participate, staff has received only rudimentary training and has to figure out the things themselves, personnel outside of restaurant was not even informed (I asked the FB profile operator for a copy of the leaflet to check for participating restaurants and they were clueless) and they even managed to put the wrong name for one of the five restaurants in it - the one that is the closest to Accor's office!
Earnings are modest but I must say this is such a welcome development, being promised to me by Accor's execs for years now. I do hope they will manage to iron out the kinks and roll this out worldwide en masse.
