Just returned from a trip down to Australia to discover that I missed the chance to earn Avios on my Qantas domestic flight because of the fare bucket (E) that Expedia automatically booked me into. It was only a few hundred points, but I'd prefer to book into fare buckets that earn Avios in future. Is this possible using Expedia?
I'm unaware of any airline website or OTA that has implemented this capablity. Generally, only cheapest basic, cheapest restricted and sometimes cheapest flexible fares are shown for each cabin. Need to call the airline or a travel agent to request a specific booking class.
