For clarity, OW does not have this rule either - OW credits miles per marketing carrier rather than operating carrier, but ticketing carrier is irrelevant for both OW and *A.
I was “lucky” last year because my EY2768 KUL-NRT flight was canceled and I was rebooked on MH88 by MH a day later and got RJ miles for that flight
