I think that the fault really lies with you. Sorry but if you really are Gold at British Airways, I am surprised that we have not heard from you before, and that you do not know who to call to try and put matters right.

Pucci Dearest,

Just the other day I found I cocked up at BD's LHR Ticketing Desk, and only found the mistake two days before the incorrect day of departure. bmi in the end absolved the change fees, and asked that I simply paid the fare difference to the the then lowest available fare on the correct flights.

I am a Oneworld Emerald, yet I rarely trouble the BA board; because I think the airline is full of weasels who will patronise customers at the earliest (in-)convenience, and who feel they have a license to treat customers badly. That is why I never book myself/friends/family/colleagues on BA, except as a last resort.

I have no clue who to call to sort matters out; because I seriously doubt that such a number actually exists for mortals (I'm not even a member of the MCC!). Frankly: I think BA could really sneak a march on the competition by starting an "honest marketing" (oxymoron alert!) campaign, by retitling its jets "We hate our Pax; especially the WHY ones".
