Wow... I had a reservation at Avis at ISN (Williston, ND) last fall, and they called a few hours in advance to confirm I was still coming, since mine was the only reservation that evening, and it didn't coincide with any flight. (I was arriving by Amtrak and taking a taxi to the airport.) I can't imagine just clocking out without warning at a busy airport like IAH.
