I've come across a snag that nearly tripped up two AAgents when trying to give me SDC. It occurs when I've been upgraded and then want to change to an earlier flight. Apparently, the agent has to put me back in coach before making the SDC.

An agent in the AC at ORD actually figured it out without needing help (and I went to #1 on the list and got a battlefield upgrade anyway). She never told me what she did, so I assumed the extra typing was her getting the upgrade list situated.

A TA at CMH needed a little help from the senior agent, but figured it out. She asked twice for $75, but when I insisted that it should be free she got it done. I asked to be added to the upgrade list after she handed me my BP, as I wasn't added when she made the SDC.

Finally, an agent at the MCO AC tried to reject my attempt to SDC. She even showed me her screen that said something along the lines of "flight not eligible for change" or something of the sort on a red background.

I politely showed her that EF was showing E space and that as a PPro I should be eligible for SDC. The other agent realized that it was because the system is trying to SDC me to the F cabin, which it couldn't do. The agent "backed out the upgrade" (her term) on the original flight and then was easily able to SDC me to my preferred flight once I showed as in coach.
