Around the time that AMEX Canada originally reached an agreement with Air Canada (?2004), AMEX Canada offered a promotion which at least in my case does not seem to be offered.

The Aeroplus Platinum then and now offers 1.25 MR points per first $25,000 spent, and then 1.5 MR points spent after than for the annual billing period. But I was as a charter card member offered 0.1 additional MR points per dollar spent - from the first dollar. That promotion does not seem to be honoured.

Additionally, the second promotion - if one signs in to both cards, then the annual fee for the AMEX Platinum card will be sufficient to cover the fee the Aeroplus Platinum card as well (ie 2 annual fees for the price of 1; the fee for the Aeroplus Platinum card would be waived).

These 2 promotions - just as I learned a few minutes ago - are not being offered to me. I called AMEX - the agent on the phone could not confirm that either of these 2 promotions were ever offered. I want to go back to AMEX - with some evidence (email, AMEX web site - from ? 2004), so I could be offered these promotions as I feel that I am entitled to.
