I don't care about the drink either (get one because I'm Gold), and the premium snack is miniscule (yesterday was either a granola bar or chocolate pretzels). After my experience yesterday with a full size dog in the bulkhead row (always my first choice), I'm rethinking my choice to now exit row (which has always had ample room, but of course about ten rows behind my first choice - not really an issue for me most of the time). I have had many flights with open middle at the bulkhead though, but not lately.
