I now have enough Avios to try out Cathay First - I am moving to Melbourne in January, and would like to use avios to go from LHR-HKG in First, but then to travel straight on to MEL just in economy paying for a one-way flight on Cathay. Is there a way to do this as one booking, so that if the LHR-HKG flight is delayed for any reason, I am then covered should my HKG-MEL have to be changed?
