PMI new lounge “Sala Llevant” in module A (non-Schengen)

There is (finally) a new lounge at PMI in the non-Schengen module A gates, after passport control. Located on the lower level of departures next to gate A23 (the lower level gates A23-28 are all bus gates), Sala Llevant is run by airport operator AENA, like all the other PMI lounges.

This will now be the closest lounge to the gates for all BA operated flights, and is accessed by lift/escalator/stairs opposite gate A16 and next to the Carlsberg Pub.

Style looks a bit dated since they haven’t changed the floor and wall tiling, but the furniture used is new and in line with that in the other lounges, and the lounge is clean and fairly spacious. F&B provision is pretty much identical to the other lounges, possibly slightly more generous due to more space. Hot food provided at lunch and dinner times (usually from about 18:30 for dinner).

Normal access via CE ticket or BA silver / OWS and above status when flying OW. Paid entrance also possible, and also I assume whichever lounge passes the other lounges accept (PP yes, don’t know about others).

Lounge is wheelchair accessible via lift and a ramp at the entrance. Didn’t use the bathrooms (located inside lounge) so didn’t see if there is an accessible bathroom. No showers, it does have WiFi and magazines.

As with all the PMI lounges, it’s a reasonable quality third party lounge, fine for a shortish stay, wouldn’t want to spend hours there (though there would be worse places during IRROPS). It shouldn’t get too crowded generally, since only non-Schengen pax can use it, and the majority of flights from A gates are operated by airlines without business class or FFPs including lounge access. Of course, some will access via lounge pass or paid entrance.

Some pics below

Access from main concourse via lift, stairs or (down only) escalator.

Reception area (desk is behind me, magazine rack to left)

Main dining area, seating near windows, which have limited apron views

There is more seating at the rear, behind the partition

Cold buffet - meats, cheese, sandwiches and wraps, pastries, cakes and snacks

Hot dishes, available at lunchtime and evenings from roughly 18:30.

@Prospero - FYI, and Sala Valldemossa remains closed for refurbishment
