I don't know but it doesn't hurt to just call and ask. If I understand correctly, if there are others with GUC applied then your order will depend on status.
However, I think it's near impossible to say what your chances are as there are unknowns such as non-revs coming last minute to snag D1 seats, deadheading pilots, etc. I assume LAX-SYD is a popular route for pax to use buy up offers as well.
