At other times, just like all the other seats in econom, it can be kept under the seat in front of you if you want to keep it at hand. OP has stated it’s a 4 class 777 so 26A is the front row of economy. There is no seat in front, just door 3L.
I usually keep my small rucksack under my legs against the front of my seat after takeoff. Everything accessible without being an obstruction to anyone.
