Damaged baggage procedure
Hi there,
Landed at TLV yesterday and noticed a large tear in my suitcase shell, so I had a damage report made up at the lost&found counter. The lady gave me a few folders of suitcase companies and told me to take my damage report + luggage tag to them. I didn't know the exact value of the bag so the report states "unknown".
Since I've never experienced baggage irregularities before, what can I expect? Will I just be issued a new similar bag and case closed? Or do I have to claim a refund at TK? Their website only states to go to the lost&found counter immediately upon noticing any damage, but the report says "go to website X for claim settlement".
