For IST ( Istanbul Airport ( New )), making an immediate turnaround from BA 676 to BA 677 is possible as transfer security wait times are a huge improvement after Atatürk Airport. Also, there is a special lane for those who have less than 75 minutes for their next flights. For non-Turkish citizens, I won't suggest that passengers with immediate turnarounds use the landside route as it would waste a lot of time but for long transfers more than 3h+, it would be OK. Also, be aware that the same extra security measures in Atatürk Airport are also in effect at Istanbul Airport so you may be subject to random screening at the gate so plan your journey to the gate accordingly.
Also, a small reminder that pax eligible for fast-track ( BA doesn't contract the fast-track service for arrivals but I don't know for transfer ) and lounge, you must stop by the Havaş transfer desk which is facing the main transfer security checkpoint. To access the contract lounge, you would need a lounge voucher.
