Star Alliance Top 1000

Hey gang,

Got a really nice surprise black card in the mail yesterday saying I was in the Star Alliance top 1000. Frankly I can't imagine it's accurate but hey I do fly Star alot and I'm trying to fly on all the carriers, so some recognition is nice.

Now, I know it's not really much of anything, from what I've read it's nothing more than a little online community, AC had one of these when I was top tier with them. Never used it.

Three things though I'm wondering about...

1. I see a UA member got a keyring thing, I got the invitation from Asiana, didn't get anything other than the nice card. Data point there, would've been nice to get a luggage tag or keyring or something, especially since Asiana doesn't send out luggage tags or anything, but oh well. No big deal.

2. I registered, but for the LIFE OF ME, I can't figure out where to log in. It says to log in or register at the link provided. But the link I got was only a register link. I registered my email address, all good, now nothing. No idea where to log in to at least check the community out. Anyone got the info? Or has this happened to anyone else?

3. While registering it mentioned something about having 99% of star carriers available to book awards online. That intrigued me, I wasn't sure if they meant on THEIR site, or overall. I'd love to have a central, unbiased booking portal to at least check availability. It would mean I wouldn't need to pay for EF anymore and it would mean I wouldn't get force fed the crappy results that Aeroplan gives and it would be easier to use than the crappy Asiana/ANA engines that I've had a hard time figuring out. Was I reading too much into this, or were they just saying that each carrier individually has their own online system and they were just saying it as a bragging point?
