To revive this thread for a bit...
I woke up this morning to an email that my seats for a flight in October had been changed (I had paid to select the upper deck on the 747). The change is a result of changing from a 747 to a 777, so having to change seats is understandable.
Since we are now being changed to what I think are less desirable seats, is there any chance of a refund for paying to select it? More importantly, should I submit the claim for a refund now or wait until after the flight (the T&C's say I have 14 days after the flight to request a refund)? I'd hate to request a refund and then lose the current seat selection.
