I suspect the only way this policy changes is if enough customers vote by staying elsewhere. Only when the hotel realizes its bottom line will suffer by not offering a better breakfast benefit relative to the Chicago market competition will anything change.
But, FWIW, I think this hotel is a steal for what you get otherwise. I’d have to pay much more to get comparable luxury IMO. So I’d gladly deal with the relatively weak breakfast benefit.
