The difference between a UA PQS and a SWA Segment is UA counts layovers as a PQS where SWA counts the one way ticket, including layovers, only as a segment. so getting 25 flights (depending on where you're flying) can amount to 35-50 UA PQS. Fair enough; I can see why you thought that should match to Gold then. It's closer than my comparison made it appear.

I haven't done an airline status match in a long time; the hotel matches I've done wanted to see actual stay information.
