I arrived in T5 a couple of weeks ago from OTP and tried to get to T5 departures to meet a friend in the lounge... I only had a T3 BP for an AA departure. There was no way they allowed me through. They made is clear... no T5 BP then I could enter T5 departures. I even asked if I cleared immigration and go land-side and back in and I will told I would not get past security into T5 with a T3 BP.

Was I told a fib?
