I always think it's funny when people complain about there not being a kettle in a US (or even most countries outside of the UK) hotel room. In the US you should be happy if you have a coffee machine, Keurig or Nespresso machine as some hotels have removed coffee setups in general.
Last time I stayed at the hotel it was really showing signs of age and the room I got was in a horrible condition. Your room looks decent with the only upkeep issue I saw was the bottom of the bathroom mirror looking really bad.
