Question BancOne's TheOneCard--now a MileagePlus product--your thoughts and views?

I've looked back into early August but don't see this subject, so I hope that the moderators or others will point me to previous comments.

Yesterday I get a charming letter in the USMail, inviting me to shift my ONE card (an ATM/Visa checking card) to a MileagePlus ONE Card.

(I've a checking account with Banc One --I STILL want to call it First Chicago...)

$25 annual fee buys me the 1 Mile for $2 purchases.

The promotional (working from memory, I left the brochure at home):

-2,500 MP miles to enroll

-an upgrade on a 1,000-mile segment

-something else wonderful which evades me right now

At the moment, I'm tempted to take it for a year and receive the promotionals. I don't use the ATM/Visa feature very often, but I might be able to do that in the coming year (most of my activity has gone through the MP credit card)

I -assume- I'm not the only person to get this, so wonder what you folk think of the product?
