Amazon keeps getting more partnerships to use third party reward programs to pay. I was really annoyed when they kept adding my Citi Thank You points as a payment option on my account. I did not want someone to clean those points out, and I finally got that damn thing off my account.

I get the impression that any customer that loses their Thank You points, Hilton Honor points, Discover cash back or anything else they have set up besides their own program with the Chase Amazon card is going to have a hell of a time to get Amazon to compensate for the fraud. You would probably have to send multiple emails and maybe threaten to take them to small claims court to get them to compensate you as a resident in the United States. I have no idea what your legal options are outside of the USA for any fraud under 10 thousand dollars.

I would suggest everyone look at their Amazon account and remove these outside award programs as a method of payment.
