Sure enough, I received over 20 emails early on a Sunday morning saying thank you for redeeming your points on Amazon, and may account balance went from 996K to 21K. I immediately called the Diamond Desk and they put a stop to any additional redemptions (like that will do any good now), and they opened a case with their fraud department. I also called Amazon and alerted them to the fraud, and they could have cared less. I agree you would think Amazon would want to track these fraudulent transactions down, but no. I’m sure someone ended up with a lot of nice stuff! About two weeks later, I finally received a call from Hilton following up. They set me up with a new account number, one with 10 digits, and they reinstated all my stolen points. I had to get a few things set back up in my account, and my Lifetime Diamond status is still in tact. I am good now, except I still seem to want to provide my old account number out of habit!
