Glad to hear good things about this place...

Jeeves, from the airport on the light rail (MetroLink), you will want to get off at the Convention Center stop, then head east on Washington Ave. to the hotel, which is at the corner of 4th and Washington. It's about a 40 minute trip from the airport and it'll set you back $3. If you take the light rail back to the airport, the fare will only be $1.25. Nothing like shaking down the out-of-towners. Whatever, $3 is still a steal.

The hotel is new as a Hampton but wasn't really a new build. The building was a very dodgy Days Inn (I think, not 100% sure of the brand) for a while, then was vacant for a few years before it was reinvented as the Hampton it is now. I'm glad it opened -- HH sorely needed a property in the 'Lou closer to the convention center and dome. The Hampton at Union Station isn't that convenient to the convention center, dome, and riverfront (at least via foot).
