How do you get out of a chair normally? Everywhere you sit, there is another chair directly in front of you that you use to pull yourself up?

Um, ok try this - lean forward slightly, now use your stomach and legs muscles to push your body up into a standing position. Use your arm rests for extra leverage if you need.
