Well - OP learned the lesson in a hard way.

FWIW - Emergency passport is never designed to use for traveling to any 3rd countries, even some countries may allow entries. By design, emergency passport is supposed to be used once only.

Also - Denied entry involves authoritative discretion (i.e. the Immigration Officer decides your fate). Deportation, on the other hand, involves an adjudication process (i.e. a hearing or trial). The impact of denied entry is not as much as deportation. Because by its own nature, deportation associates with wrongdoings, but not for denied entry. Also denied entry is curable (as you can get a visa from a consulate and re-enter again) but not for deportation.
