I think overall the seat is the bigger factor, but a good/bad crew can make or break the experience regardless of the hard product. If you have a bad crew, no matter how good the seat, you will be disappointed. Likewise an excellent crew can make a sub-par business class flight amazing.

I would book for the seat mainly, but the crew will be what decides whether it was a good flight or not a lot of the time.
