Not if time is important. I did a day trip from Amsterdam to Antwerp on it a couple of years ago and it took about 2 and half hours. I think Brussells was another 30 or 40 minutes away. Nice journey, but Eurostar is nicer.

Also depends on where your start and desination are in each city.
