For the monthly status update e mails, Hilton has gone to a system that generates an up-to-the-minute gif to display the points balance in the e mails. Every time you open the mail, it regenerates a current balance.

E.g.- If you go to the April 1st e mail on April 1st, you see the April 1st balance, but if you go back to the April 1st e mail on May 1st, it now shows the May 1st balance. The folly of what Hilton has done is apparent in your unfortunate example.
