I did a cockpit visit one night between Montreal and London on a BA L1011. [Yeah, it was a while ago.] We were in First and the pilot invited my wife and I up to watch the Aurora which were putting on a particularly good display as we crossed over Greenland. May try on my 777 flight later this month. The idea of going through the Club World cabins in my sleep suit to visit the cockpit on a 747 is somehow not very appealing. And since I will be flying onward to Africa on that 747, I suspect they may not be as accommodating as across the NAtlantic.
