The big August 26 announcement has me a bit concerned. No, I am not staying up nights worrying, nor do I think the sky is falling. I really don't want to take our over 500,000 somewhere else, but if the Delta does something foolish about first class and international award travel using SkyMiles, I want to be prepared.

I have been looking for a way to take all my Delta SkyMiles to another airline, hotel program, credit card, or something program. I have done some research, and there seems to be no way out for my miles. It seems as if the SkyMiles are trapped and imprisoned inside Delta.

I am not concerned about Delta not being here, and I know a BK will not have much of an impact on SkyMiles and awards. I am more concerned about the August 26 decision and any changes in the SkyMiles Program thereafter.

If I am missing something about the transferring of SkyMiles, please let me know.
