Air France vs Norwegian from Paris to SFO

I am looking for an early June flight one-way from Paris to SFO. The round-trip throw-away ticket on Air France is only $40 more than Norwegian. Both are non-stop flights except the AF arrives afternoon on Monday while the D8 arrives Sunday night. Alternative to AF is another flight on Sunday is KLM but has a layover.

In terms of seat comfort and quality of service - for eg: missed flight, is there any advantage to booking AF non-stop/KLM with layover vs D8 non-stop? I don't care much about food / drinks as I can stock some from the lounge before departure. Will be backpacking - so no luggage. I flew before on D8 from OAK to FCO and it was just fine.

Thank you.
