Since I am arriving in Macau on 10/25 and returning to BKK on 10/30 with 2 nights in Macau and 3 in Hong Kong, I vote for Bangkok. This will be my 1st trip to Hong Kong, but my 4th to Bangkok in the past 2 years. Bangkok is a wonderful destination and really perfect to a 5-6 day stay. Plenty to do, much to see, great people (I noticed no more beggers in Bangkok than I did at home in Portland-just a different amount of need) and it really does not stink. Yes it is humid, yes it can be hot, yes it is congested, but this is part of the charm. Look beyond the superficial and there are great things to be had out of a Bangkok and Thai experience.
