Should I have said something to the FA? Relatively short flight and didn’t want to cause a scene but still irks me.
Two things:
1. How you conclude the person moved up front is actually "a friend" of the FA.
2. How do you know there was not any other reason for which that person (even if a friend) rightfully got the seat up front?
If you post your flight number and date I think someone here can pull up the info and tell you exactly what happened.
You would get nothing out of confronting the FA, IMO. If it truly was a "friend upgrade', the FA would never admit to it.
