If you travel frequently I would look into an annual multi-trip policy which covers you on all trips (typically over some distance threshold from your home). I have one for a couple hundred bucks and the coverage is excellent. I've used it before and they actually paid a claim too so it's legit.
I've so often seen people saying this, but I have never, ever been quoted a multi-trip policy for a couple hundred bucks. Never. Ever. DH and myself are young (ish) 56 & 57 and the cheapest I've ever been quoted is 1200.00 for an annual multi-trip policy.
Who is the "couple hundred dollar" policy with???? I've asked the people on Cruise Critic who say this is what they pay, and nobody has ever answered me as to who they purchase it from....
