In the next 2 years I want to visit family in Shanghai and also visit Hong Kong or Singapore AND Sydney if my budget allows. Whats the cheapest way to fly ORD/DTW/YYZ-PVG-HKG/SIN-SYD-ORD/DTW/YYZ. I do not mind long connections as the fare is cheaper. I am trying to keep the fare under $1.5-2k a person. Is this doable!? Is there a way to get this cheaper on a circle pacific fare on SkyTeam!? If Australia is too expensive I may visit Singapore/Bangkok/Phuket instead.
