On a recent flight, I sat in 5A. Pax in 4A seemed to be having an okay time talking to the person in 4D. The even-numbered window seats are closer to the aisle, and the D seats are angled towards the aisle. Presumably this would be the case for the other even numbered seats as well. Of course, by design your head is behind a partition to create the privacy desired by most.
