Perhaps I’m old fashioned, but I expect airlines to make safety a top priority and ensure that a life vest is there before the flight departs. Don’t see why the passenger should feel the need to check.
Well... the fact that evidence here suggests that sometimes they are not suggests that to rely on the airline to ensure they are there is misguided
but if like some you really don't care if it is there or not then yes... leave it to the airline
