Quite a pleasant stay overall. Hotel was quiet on arrival but very busy the next day.
Upgraded later on morning of arrival to a traditional junior suite. Two large bottles of water/ robes/ slippers/ extra toiletries in room. There was a life insurance conference on, and it may have been they booked the "best" rooms. This was from a family room.
Lounge was not busy at all, probably 15 people or so at the busiest. As a result it was quite nice! Food was very good, an Indian selection, very nice spiced lentil soup, and other canapes and also a chinese selection. No spirits, but did have sparkling wine. All of the first it was quiet and enjoyable, not many guests. Staff refilled glasses at tables and chatted.
The next day was also fine. Had a good breakfast downstairs. The hotel was much busier with an Addsion lee conference.
Only downside was a couple who had gold status really arguing the difference that they had not been upgraded to a suite. Staff were polite, and they had been given an exec room and lounge access. We all heard the conversation. I don't know the situation behind it, but felt sorry for the staff.
