I'm not aware of any such coverage on a DL-branded AMEX offered any time recently. There's travel accident insurance which pays out a benefit of you lose life or limb under certain conditions but that's that's it (also different levels of assistance including medical evacuation transportation through Global Assist depending exactly which flavor of card you have).

Other cards like the Chase Sapphire Reserve have trip cancellation/delay/interruption coverage you may need thinking of.

I would suggest reading at least the web site overviews of what coverages each card offers, if not the full terms and benefits of different products you may hold or be considering.

They're just reselling travel insurance from someone else (I think Jefferson). This includes coverages like those mentioned above.

Whether any of this is "right" for you depends on your financial profile and level of risk tolerance. There aren't going to be any simple answers.
