while AA and Parker's strategy can be debated, BA doesnt have the history of running stupid routes for no reason. if BA ceded the route to AA... and then they made it year round, it is a safe assumption that the route is doing well enough.
and yes, I agree with you that PHX and its surroundings are plenty capable of supporting flights to LHR. This isnt LIT-NRT being discussed
