It is true. The airlines don't get a dime from the government when a seat is stolen by the marshal. And even if they did, I don't want my taxes being wasted on such a useless endeavor. I can say the same thing about your contention that armed air marshals increase safety on a plane: ill-conceived and uninformed.
The difference in what you have to say and what I have to say, is that I have forgotten more about aviation security than you will ever know. The simple fact, that obviously can't be proven on an anonymous internet BB, is that I am certain of the facts on this topic, I am right and you are wrong.
