It’s not uncommon for them to allow early check-in either. An overly harsh conclusion on WA I think, given that they may well need the rooms for incoming guests or to facilitate upgrades for those guests. For the record, I have never claimed they gave me nothing, I was satisfied with the check out time they provided (1pm and 2pm). My point was simply that the comparison you drew to SGS didn’t seem fair, and I know which I prefer for service standards having experienced both.
